Synopsis
Perspectives contains five cinematic and multi-generational stories of a Black family ranging from the beginning of the post-slavery Reconstruction Era to the present day. The culmination of these stories based on true events will provide readers with the importance of leveraging education to overcome systemic racism and economically advance against the odds. Passages from the past detailing the journey of historical African Americans instill appreciation for the sacrifices made by our ancestors that distinctly impacted Black culture and paved the way for the following generations.
