This heartfelt book was inspired by my own little sister. She has taught me so much and she has so many abilities. I struggled to find books with characters that looked like her, so I wrote one with her in mind. This book is uplifting, fun, and most importantly it amplifies Black girls! I wrote this book because our Black children deserve to see themselves in the books they read.

About the Author

Rasheeda Pilgrim is a New York state certified school administrator from Brooklyn, New York. As a child, Rasheeda loved to read and write stories. She dreamed of one day creating books of her own that others could read. Rasheeda was inspired to write this book she noticed her students had limited access to books with characters who looked like them. She hopes this book will be in hands of many little black girls and boys around the world. Her books were written to inspire and affirm children of color.
