A band of misfits living in the mountains of West Virginia take on corporate interests who won't take no for an answer when they try to buy the land. Easygoing Jonah McGraw and his band of peace loving hippies living along a mountain stream run head on into a corporate executive's legacy project, a golf course. Dynacom's CFO, Steve Campbell and his sidekick, Lance Booth will stop at nothing, including murder in their quest for the land. Ironically, their plans for the property include a dam that would create a lake submerging the McGraw farmhouse altogether.
Jonah couldn't let that happen. The struggle Jonah and the others found themselves engaged in was the most existential in the long history of the McGraw property. During the 19th century potato famine in Ireland, Silas McGraw and his family packed the few belongings they had and sailed to America, arriving in the aftermath of the American Civil War. After four generations, Jonah was the last McGraw. It was up to him to keep the family property out of the hands of Steve Campbell and Dynacom,
