About this title

About the Authors

As a child Glenda felt shy. Looking out her window to neighbors and passerby, she would make up stories about them. Hiding a flashlight under her bed for emergencies, Glenda used it to read her favorite books, sitting up in bed with the blankets pulled over her head, she pretended to be in a tent. Her first book, part of a series, "Periwinkle's Magic", is inspired by a bedtime story she created -about adventures with Periwinkle, a magical gnome, and Mac the McCaw, a parrot-that she would tell her daughters. Her oldest daughter; Emily, would add little tidbits to the stories.Giggling with Glenda, her kids and grandkids laughed out loud whenever she shared these stories. Glenda's message is a reminder to children that using imagination throughout reading helps you get through things, enjoy life, and believe that anything is possible.Ms. Tinsley lives in Sacramento, with her husband, near green-belt areas and a lake-with ducks, fish, frogs, geese and turtles.

As the youngest child in a large family, Donna often felt invisible, and entertained herself by making up stories or friends to play with. She taught herself to read at an early age, and embraced the world of imagination: filled with Princes, in grand castles, and Fairy Godmothers, in Enchanted Forests.Today, Donna is a grandmother, random-fact finder, and visionary--encouraging writers of all ages to share their stories and imaginary friends. As a superhero-in-training, she believes everyone has a "superhero" side, ready to save the day.She lives in California with her family and five cats, who inspire so many of her super characters. (Sadly, no mice like Simon or Ricky.)

At the age of 16, they decided to follow their dreams and pursue book illustration. In 2016 they began as freelancers, helping more than 3000 authors make their books a reality. Since then, the brothers continue to follow their passion in an attempt to change the industry and bring many wonderful stories to life.
