About the Author

Donna Anderson is a retired geologist with over 45 years of experience, including as a practicing professional in environmental/engineering and petroleum geology and research and teaching in sedimentary geology at the Colorado School of Mines. Long-active in professional geologic societies, she is a Past-President and Honorary Member of the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Donna holds a B.A. in Earth Science and Geography from California State University at Fullerton, an M.S. in Geology from UCLA, and a Ph.D. in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines. Paul Haseman is retired from military service in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he was also Judge Advocate General (JAG). He also worked in aerospace as General Counsel for Raytheon Australia. With an enduring love of geology since childhood, he is active in civic affairs and is currently in his second term as a Councilperson in the City of Golden, Colorado. Paul holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from USMA/West Point, a JD from the University of Virginia, and an LLM from George Washington University.
