This book is about me as an adult who had to overcome my fears and insecurities about reading and the negative words spoken over me. This book may appear unassuming at first glance and in its opening pages, but it reveals the work of a great God who sees. He saw the struggle of a little girl and, in time, awakened something special within her. As you turn these pages, you will witness how God works quietly behind the scenes. He answered a heartfelt prayer--a desire to give thanks--even though it would take 34 years, 9 months, and 13 days, totaling 12,705 days. Each of us is born with gifts and talents, like presents waiting to be unwrapped and used for their intended purpose. No matter what your struggle, do not allow fear, insecurity, or hesitation to keep you from becoming who you were created to be. We are victorious--we are overcomers. (John 16:33; 1 John 5:4)
