About the Author

Gary and Linda Baer have served in church and parachurch ministry since 2005. From 2011 to 2018, they led a storefront ministry in Aurora, Illinois, offering free healthcare alongside a Christ-centered recovery fellowship. In 2019, they relocated to the Pacific Northwest, where SoulCare Groups(TM) was later developed at Gospel Life Church in Puyallup, Washington.Gary's passion for soul care flows from his own story of redemption after a thirty-year battle with addiction. After multiple rehabs, the Lord transformed his life, leading him to help others find freedom in Christ. He holds a BS in Biblical studies from Moody Bible Institute and an MA from Wheaton College and has completed CCEF's biblical counseling training certificates.Linda brings over thirty years of experience in physical therapy along with an MA in Biblical studies from Wheaton College and CCEF certification. She serves as director of women's counseling at her church and as an online instructor with CCEF.Together, they develop the SoulCare Groups(TM) workbook series through One Measure Ministries.
