திருவயலூரார் அருளால் நான் எழுதி உள்ள இந்த கந்தகிரி திருப்புகழ் என்னும் நூல் பல வியப்புகளை உள்ளடக்கியது ஆகும். முதலில் இந்த நூலின் இரண்டாம் திருக்காப்பு ஆனா திருவாசக ஒப்புகை ஆனது தில்லையிலே ஆட்சி செய்யும் என் தாய் திருத்தில்லைச்சிவகாமி சொல்ல (மனத்தினுள்) நான் எழுதியது ஆகும். அங்ஙனம், இரண்டாவதாக இந்த நூலில் உள்ள ஞானத்தமையன் திருப்புகழ் ஆனது அப்பன் முருகன், முழுமுதற் கடவுளான விநாயக பெருமானை புகழ்ந்து அவரே சொல்ல(மனத்தினுள்) நான் எழுதியது ஆகும். மூன்றாவதாக, இந்த நூலில் உள்ள திருத்தகுதி என்னும் பகுதிக்கு உட்பட்ட பாடல்கள், முருகன் என் கனவில் ஒரு பெரியவர் போல வந்து உனக்கு எழுதும் தகுதி உண்டா? என கேட்டு மறைந்தார், நானோ! அந்த திருத்தகுதியினை இந்த வினை பிறவியோனுக்கு நீரே கொடுக்க வேண்டும் என எழுதியுள்ளேன். இவ்வாறு இந்த கந்தகிரி திருப்புகழ் என் தெய்வங்களின் அருளால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது என்பதனை உங்கள் அனைவரிடமும் மனம் உருக கூறிக்௧ொள்கிறேன். திருவயலூர் வளவன் வார்த்த! கிரியார்கள் முதரே முறையே! அருணகிரி கந்தகிரி திருப்புழகே!
