About the Authors

A former teacher, Mari has a passion for reading and for children's literature that she has passed on to her children. A mother of four, Mari has had an interest in publishing her own book since 1993. Now that she is an empty nester, it is finally happening! She has a passion for life lessons and faith-based teachings for children. Mari's sister, Katy England, created all of the illustrations, fulfilling a dream that both have fostered together.

Katy England is a graduate of Kansas State University, with a BFA in Painting, and continued studies in Painting and Art History at the Royal College of Art in London, England. She's been a practicing artist since 1993. Katy enjoys teaching art to all ages. Some of her creations include public school installations, collaborative murals with children, and large-scale paintings for churches and private collectors. Illustrating a book written by her sister, Mari, has been on her bucket list for some time. Being able to bring Mari's words to life with Katy's art illustrations has been a wonderful project for the sisters.
