This study explores the impact of video games on the daily lives of students, particularly those studying computer science. With video games becoming a prevalent part of modern digital life, the research examines how gaming affects various aspects such as academic success, emotional well-being, social interactions, and the balance between virtual and real life. Data was gathered through surveys of students across all three years of the computer science program. The study analyzes how much time students spend playing video games and investigates the relationship between gaming and communication, particularly differentiating between single-player and multiplayer games. Multiplayer games, which involve interactions with other players, may enhance communication among students. Additionally, the research monitors students' gaming habits during the week, when they have academic responsibilities, and compares them to their weekend gaming activities, when more free time is available. The aim of the study is to provide a deeper understanding of how video games influence students’ lives, considering their attitudes, experiences, and habits.
