Peter Van Dyck is a writer and
journalist who works and lives in Antwerp, Belgium. He is the father of four
children. They are the very resource of his authorship. The bedtime stories
that he made up on the spot when the kids were little provided the inspiration
for the children’s book he wanted to write later. To light sparks in the young
readers with beauty, humor, imagination, and empathy is his goal. In addition,
Peter dedicates books, articles, and lectures to his biggest passion: music.
According to him, stories and records are very much alike. Both have the power
to move people, to take them to other worlds and even to a spiritual level, to
provide insights and to bring us all together.
Yule Hermans (1996) lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium. In her illustrations, she tries to tell little stories, adding to the story told in text form. She works intuitively, creating atmospheric and poetic images. By blending reality and magic, her illustrations often become very layered.
