Sr. Claire Marie of the Immaculate Heart, O.C.D. (1925-1996), was a Discalced Carmelite Nun who wrote these letters under the nom de plume of Sr. Marie of the Trinity. In 1950, as a new Carmelite, Sr. Claire Marie was part of the small group of Nuns who ventured out from the Carmel in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to found the Carmel of the Holy Cross in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
