When evil Asura forces attacked the idyllic planet of Bhu-loka and threatened to enslave its inhabitants, Krsna, the first Avatara, descended to that world in its darkest hour and fought to save its people and preserve its way of life.

About the Author
Dr. Howard Resnick, also known as H. D. Goswami, is a world-renowned teacher of the bhakti-yoga tradition. Dr. Resnick received his Ph.D. in Sanskrit and Indian Studies from Harvard University. Specializing in South Asia's history of philosophy and religion, he has lectured at leading universities around the world and published articles with Harvard, Columbia, and the University of California Presses.
