Synopsis

When tragedy struck and her husband was killed in a car wreck, Arlene Evans heard the Lord speak: "I want you to write a book named Keep Your Eyes on Jesus."

Decades later, at the Lord's prompting, she began writing the stories of her eighty years walking with Him.

In Keep Your Eyes on Jesus, Arlene shares 138 true accounts from her life, each paired with Scripture, to inspire readers in every season. From childhood moments of seeking God, to missionary adventures, to deep valleys of grief, her journey testifies to a Savior who never leaves nor forsakes His children. This devotional is designed so readers can turn to the exact story or Scripture they need when life's storms roll in.

Through each page, Arlene reminds us that what God has done for her, He will also do for you if you listen, obey, and believe until you receive. The resolution is clear: a life lived with eyes fixed on Jesus prepares us to be ready when He calls us to our eternal home.

Arlene Evans grew up in Decatur, Illinois, with a Christian mother and a non-believing father. At eighteen, she married her husband, and together they raised three children. Blessed with nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, Arlene has lived a life rooted in faith.

In 1978, she and her husband rededicated their lives to Christ, leading to his pastoral ministry and their shared missionary work. Arlene continues to serve as a daily missionary, seeking God's direction to help others. She is active in her church, now pastored by her son, and enjoys sewing, cooking, traveling, genealogy research, and games.
