Synopsis

More New Stories about Old Saints from Gifted Storyteller Andrew Seddon

The stories in Celtic Paths bring to life saints who inhabited a world of “thin places” where the spiritual and natural realms intersected each other, bringing the divine in touch with ordinary life. The heroes of these twelve tales are men and women whose sanctity is grounded in a profound understanding of the ways of God and humanity, and whose examples still edify and inspire us today.

Powerful and thought-provoking, Celtic Paths is sure to satisfy readers young and old alike, who yearn for substantive, engaging stories that illuminate and encourage as well as entertain.

Praise for Celtic Paths

“These are short stories in the best tradition—historical fiction that inspires by example while it entertains. Seddon has hit the ball out of the court once again!” Werner Lind, author of Lifeblood

“My favorite, ‘Far Voyager,’ is the tale of St. Brendan—always fertile ground for speculation. But you’ll also meet Saint Bridgid, Saint Columba, Saint Ruadhan, Saint Monynna, and a host of others, not as carvings on old stone but as vital, living people. A fun book.” Colleen Drippé, author of the Star Brothers series—Gelen! Godcountry, Treelight, Vessel of Darkness, and Sunrise on the Icewolf.

“Wonderful! Andrew Seddon delivers touching stories about the Celtic saints—their adventures while alive and their influence after death.” Karina Fabian, author of Discovery; editor, Infinite Space, Infinite God I and II
