Synopsis
Growing up, children hear stories about the scary monsters that lurk in their closets and under their beds. These monsters are large and ugly, ready to sink their claws into supple young flesh and tear it to pieces. The thing that lurks under Lucy Jones's bed does not care for human flesh at all. When it emerges, it hungers for baked beans, peanut puff crisps, and fresh muffins. Scary is not a term one would use to describe this small creature. Unusual? Yes. A pain in the butt? Most definitely. When she finds herself lacking the right words, Lucy just settles for its name: Bean.
As Bean's new human friend, Lucy's job is to tag along and keep the little creature out of trouble. Oh, and to solve the mystery of its past.
