Synopsis

Roxanne Wells has been plagued with a murder scene in her mind for years, one that can’t be solved, it’s a simple question of why? But instead of letting it haunt her day and night, she quits her waitressing job and opens up a business for herself. Wells Investigations needs a few things, mainly another person to Inquire Within. Yes, she wants a partner, but she does not expect the tall, dark, and wow, that walks through her door. Cody Baker’s first encounter with Roxanne is an utter shock, but she quickly figures out that Cody is resourceful, ambitious, and overqualified for the position she needs filled. Together they balance out each other’s quirks. Roxanne is new to the business, but is intelligent with her deductions, pros and cons, and fine detailed mystery-solving. Cody is street smart and has friends in the right places. This working duo is perfect for each other, until he needs a place to live, she needs a shoulder to cry on, and they need to make money. When a woman is afraid to be alone and asks for a man to sleep in her extra room, should he say no? Would any man say no? Roxanne is quite comfortable with him downstairs where he’s been ordered to stay, but when she ventures down for an ice cream late that night, an encounter at the bottom of the stairs is the start of, Case In Point, a love story of cozy mystery proportions.
