About the Authors

Shirley C. Gordon is a professor in the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University, where she directs the Initiative for Intentional Health and the Advanced Holistic Nursing MSN concentration. As a board-certified School Nurse, Advanced Holistic Nurse, and Health and Wellness Nurse Coach, her research and practice focuses on co-creating a healing environment, the impact of climate change on human health, intentional health, and the care of persons experiencing chronic, stigmatized conditions.

Nancey E. M. France is Professor Emerita in the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University and Clinical Faculty, Integrative Nurse Coach Academy. As a board-certified Advanced Holistic Nurse and Health and Wellness Nurse Coach, certified HeartMath trainer, and a Trauma-Sensitive HeartMath Certified Practitioner, her research and practice are grounded in unitary caring science and holistic nursing focused on co-creating a holistic healing environment for nurses in practice.
