Since 2005, Reed has delighted readers with his short stories. They include his first book, a collection of short stories, followed by a second book, entitled Boss, Jaybird And Me: Anthology Of Short Stories. Fans of Jaybird, who was the author's guardian, mentor, surrogate father, and best friend during his boyhood years, can rejoice. Now, a brand-new collection of Jimmy Reed's most favored stories exist, with many in the first portion of the collection featuring Jaybird.

The Complete Reed features dozens of interesting, retrospective stories. Some of which take place (or were inspired by) Reed's own experiences during his college teaching career. Others deal with military service while the final segment focuses on the author's long-loved passion for flying.

Written with a humorous voice and lacking sex, violence, cruelty, or vulgarity, The Complete Reed will appeal to adults, teenagers, and even kids.
