Synopsis

Orris Slade, best-selling author of the “Cully the Bounty Hunter” books, delivers the second instalment of the Pratt Dempcy & Company series.

Inspired by true events.

The stagecoach was the lifeblood for communities in the ol’ West. They were also easy targets for bandits.

Budd is dragged back into the chaos of the untamed West when a gang of masked bandits returns to reign down terror on Pratt Dempsy stagecoaches in Sacramento Valley.

With no leads, Budd embarks on an impossible mission to bring down the men responsible for the deaths of his drivers. He has the blessing of the company to do whatever it takes to stop the murders and protect their passengers.

Budd teams up with the mysterious daughter of a notorious gang leader, the city’s lawmen, and two hired guns, in his quest for answers. Unexpected allies lead to surprising results.

Who is behind these ruthless attacks and why have they singled out Pratt Dempcy? As hardened as Budd is, will he overcome the odds and bring these outlaws to justice?
