This book is written for an introductory first course in regression analysis of economics data. It can also be used as an adjunct for courses that use a more advanced econometrics text. Finally it can be uses as a stand-alone text, especially useful for economics field courses that entail data analysis and the use econometrics methods. The book covers analysis of a single series, bivariate regression, multiple regression, and further topics in regression. The end-of-chapter exercises are mostly learning-by-doing exercises with answers to odd-numbered exercises provided. End-of-book appendices provide additional detail on the methods used. The author's website provides all datasets, statistical programs for each chapter (in Stata, in R, and in Gretl), and slides for each chapter.
