“Chinese Assertiveness” is a euphemistic way that we read these days to point out China’s vicious behaviour. China is one of the Great Power Nation in the world, and in Asia, it is the most influential one, especially, with its neighbours. China never fails to intimidate its neighbour with power, militarily or otherwise. For smaller countries in the region, it’s a bit challenging to stand against China, if one disagrees to go on with the Chinese way; not only that, within China itself, there’s no room for disagreement, it seems President Xi, doesn’t like that, and nor does he like anyone to overpower him. Thus, a good amount of friction is caused, which resulted in other Great Power Nations stepping in to balance out and counter China in the Indo-Pacific region, and hence earned a name, A New Cold War.
