Verbal abuse, emotional abuse, mental abuse and physical abuse all leave scars. We all have our own free will and for 15 years I stayed in an abusive marriage because I didn’t know how to leave without triggering him into a place that would possibly cause harm to the loved ones helping me or protecting me. I didn’t want anyone to get hurt because I need to leave an unsafe place I signed a marriage license to be. I felt alone in this and had to leave on my own to keep others safe. Keeping them safe meant keeping them in the dark and hiding everything I was going through because of his verbal threats.

God never wanted that life for me. I now live freely, and doing things I have always wanted to do. I am living life and allowing God to guide me in all that I do. I truly want the Will of God for my life, not my own will and wants. I have learned to; Pray, find fellow believers in my faith to lean on, read the Holy Scripture daily and allow God’s Spirit to move and guide me into complete freedom!
