This poetic journal concerns itself with Persephone, Queen of the Underworld and the Goddess of Spring along with other concerns of the day. VII.Persephone- I have named my own death.I need no pomegranate seeds to ingest.No trick to stay, run away, be of breath. I need no crown. No underworld to rule. Only your presence- I truly confess -Be with me, a love of two spheres, dual. And I do not expect an answer yet.My soul is shedding this prison of flesh;The disgusting mask of pain and forget.Do not think these verses as suicidal. Suicides, masters of their own demise,Desire rest, not a lover that’s bridal. Wait for me to prove myself above all:The bards of voice and makars’ flyting-brawl.
