For 6 1/2 years, I have served as the Chaplain for the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office. I had always told Sheriff Robert Radcliff that whenever he left office, I would leave as well. Since his term of office was fulfilled Sunday, January 3, 2021, I am no longer serving in the capacity of Chaplain. It has been a great privilege to serve the Sheriff and all the employees for the years that have passed. It certainly expanded my knowledge and sphere of influence by working among law enforcement. It has been my honor to be a member of the Buckeye State Sheriff's Association. That allowed me to be a part of the BSSA's Chaplain's Committee, which permitted me to be involved with training Chaplains, and prospective Chaplains for the State of Ohio. Also, I was a representative for the Southwest District Chaplains, numbering 22 counties in the State of Ohio. The opportunities of representing law enforcement in many events and functions, which I could never have been a part of in any other way, was greatly humbling. The worthy men and women of peace-keeping enjoy my deepest respect and admiration.
