Synopsis

One Mother Fought to Expose the Truth. Another Fought To Hide It

On Thanksgiving Day 2018, Kelsey Berreth vanished from her home in a Colorado mountain town.

Her fiancé, Patrick Frazee, claimed their relationship was over. He insisted he had no idea where she had gone. Behind the scenes, though, he was weaving an intricate web of lies designed to make it appear that Kelsey had simply walked away from her job, her family, and her baby.

Kelsey's mother knew better—and she refused to stop searching. She wanted her daughter back -- dead or alive.

Surveillance video, cell phone records, and blood evidence pointed investigators toward Patrick. But Kelsey's body was gone, his alibi was in place, and the people who knew the truth weren't talking.

Then investigators found Patrick's mistress.

He had repeatedly ordered her to murder Kelsey. She always failed. After he finally committed the murder himself, she helped him get rid of Kelsey's body while his mother watched it burn.

Now the mistress was ready to talk.

She could expose Patrick's lies, reveal his carefully constructed alibi, and help investigators bring Kelsey's killer to justice. But first, prosecutors would have to turn this woman who helped conceal a murder into their star witness.

They would have to make a deal with the devil.

The Murder of Kelsey Berreth: A Shocking True Crime Story is a chilling account of love, betrayal, and calculated murder—one mother determined to uncover the truth, another mother determined to hide it, and a mistress who held the key to justice.
