Synopsis
Based on a true story that is heartbreaking and heroic. Life is a constant struggle to survive for the framework knitters of 1817. When things takes a darker turn and their work dries up altogether many families had one option, the workhouse or starvation.
The story is based upon the events that led to the Pentrich Rising and shows the level of deceit the government where prepared to take against a starving populace. A deceit that lead those struggling into a course of action they may never have considered.
