A Syrian Tale is a novel based on the author’s imagination and experience. It is not an attempt to study any particular event or to narrate history; it is merely a reflection of the author’s perceptions of certain events in the history of Syria and Lebanon during a crucial period in the mid-twentieth century. This tale is fictitious; the characters and events contained within it are the author’s own creations. Any similarity to real-life characters and events is purely coincidental.
