Synopsis
A Tale of Two Mice is a delightful story in verse about two field mice – a brother and sister – who have differing views on the need to work.
Composed during the Covid-19 lockdown in the UK, with two young grandchildren in mind, it is a tale about diligence, idleness, prudence and pride, but mostly about compassion, the willingness to forgive without recrimination, and the virtue of generosity.
Delightfully illustrated by Naomi Cooke, the poem uses the fortunes of two hedgerow mice to promote a reasoned moral perspective to its young audience.
Naomi’s lively and characterful artwork will engage the imaginations of even the littlest readers.
