Synopsis
El Libro de Enoc es una de las tantas obras pseudo-escritoras (obras falsamente atribuidas, textos que afirman ser de autoría desconocida) que se atribuyen a Enoc, el bisabuelo de Noé; es decir, Enoc hijo de Jared (Génesis 5:18). Enoc es también una de las tres personas de la Biblia que fueron llevadas al cielo mientras vivían (las otras dos son Elías y Jesús), como dice la Biblia: "Caminó, pues, Enoc con Dios, y desapareció, porque le llevó Dios" (Génesis 5:24; ver también Hebreos 11:5). Por lo general, la frase "Libro de Enoc" se refiere a 1 Enoc, que sólo existe en el idioma etíope.
