Synopsis

Poetry is a highly personal and individually referenced art form. While each piece I write stems from a deeply felt experience in my life, it is inevitable that someone else will see their own personal story inside of the words I share. I was beyond excited to partner again with the highly skilled graphic designer Rennie R.S Hernandez, my frequent collaborator from the beautiful nation of Venezuela. I asked him to create not only an interesting cover image, but to select six to eight of the poems I had written and just go where his interpretation led him. The results speak for themselves. True power comes from crossing language and cultural barriers, working together to create a new vision through a shared experience. I hope that you find your own visions inside the pages of this slim volume of semi-autobiographical poems, and that it causes you to turn inward and examine your responses to them, whatever they may be.
