Synopsis

This book makes no attempt to tell any mythical stories regarding personal experiences about what is happening after death. Neither does it try to promote any religious teaching relating to the same subject. Instead, this little book will take the reader on a journey of exploration to an unknown world that seems unreal, but somewhat true and very practical to be believable. We’ll employ our power of reasoning and imagination based on relevant scientific evidence, physical conditions and practical realities. Why do we want to explore this subject? Because it will help us understand more about our physical existence and help answer some questions why we are here in this world.

A brief survey of the fundamental theories of modern physics can easily lead us to two major ideas: everything is connected and everything is conserved in the universe. With respect to after death, the soul and what happens beyond life, scientists refuse to investigate because those subjects are considered outside their discipline of study. Nevertheless, this cannot dampen the age-old human yearning to know more about the meaning of life. Long before the dawn of the scientific age, humans have been seeking help in religions and the faithful believers have found satisfaction and solace. The author attempts to go one step further by looking into the four human factors of curiosity, ambition, hope and faith; and how they were being employed in dealing with the mysteries of nature. These are the basic ingredients that make human societies work and thrive. Besides their practical values, they are also the basic ingredients in science and religion, too. In conclusion, even if you are not a religious follower or a scientific believer, your pragmatism can still lead you to believe that there is some truth in the idea of afterlife.
