Focused Feelings is a series of poems categorized by a variety of topics pertaining to everyday living and an expression of the emotions evoked from noteworthy events of my life.
Feelings are often too hard to define in words. I believe today people are finding it difficult to effectively communicate with one another. Miscommunication is often the result of misinterpretation, which causes misunderstandings. Too often feelings of insecurity; sorrow; fear etc. will take on the form of anger or depression because we’re not able to say what we’re truly feeling. It is hard to put into words what is happening within us as we struggle with the challenges we face without. These poems are expressions of the inner struggles; thoughts and heartfelt emotions I experienced during various situations and circumstances during my life . They touch on everything imaginable and unimaginable...LIFE!

They say that every picture tells a story. So, does every one of these poems. Read them and weep; cry; laugh; learn and ponder. My prayer is that you will sense and understand the commonality we all share emotionally. Every poem is a story written within a story. Please, be aware that this book was written with you in mind.
