Synopsis
These poems were written 20 years ago as I worked on the graveyard shift as a jail guard. I was struggling through personal issues and searching for myself, too young and dumb to recognize how my choices created my situation. This scrapbook of collected thoughts has been a painful window into my past. But more than that, it shows the time it can take to evolve and the pain involved in that process. I have decided to share this with the world. These are the perspectives, voices, selfishness and transformation that took place so long ago and only finally do I see my purpose. I am here to be helpful, in whatever form that takes.
