In the memoir of myself, an African-American man, my unconventional education, and my struggles in the ghettos of Detroit in search for peace and finding my roots to the Continent of Africa. As a young boy, Mansur Abdullah, growing up in the city of Detroit, Michigan, was tough. As the youngest of a family of seven, son of two Muslim converts who found Islam through the black power movement of 60’s and 70’s. I learned to be grateful for everything. I learn to respect my elders and learn from what they had to teach because they are more experienced and it’s also simply what The Creator demands. I learned to find wisdom in unfamiliar places and also how to think. Later in life I learned to apply those skills and capabilities to my research in Linguistics, Business, Communication, arts and Sciences
