Poems From My Soul: Exploring Love and Energy is a collection of longer format poems produced by the author (Amar) during a period of his lifetime where he experienced love for a lady he had grown close to over time, but whom he was denied access to due to experiencing 'mental health crisis' but also later due to family politics and because he endured 'psychosis' during the time where he fell in love.

The outcome was a series of writings that gradually grew into what he now presents as his own interpretation of modern poetry. Where the focus is more on the fluidity and flow of writing, rather than on set constructs. The outcome is published as a book out of respect for those who supported him during his episodes of psychosis. And, also as he felt the poems might help other people to acknowledge that losing touch with reality, doesn't necessitate losing touch with oneself. Often, it is more associated with losing touch with others.

Having faced depression, loneliness and anxiety at different stages of his experiences, Amar's writing focuses mostly on the understanding of what grew between him and a very special friend of his. And how the duality of Light and Darkness factored into his view of life during his mental health challenges.

Amar's goal is to inspire others to not be afraid of confronting their mental health challenges, and writing from his perspective has provided him with the opportunity to express himself more freely.
