Este signo, reaparece una y otra vez en El profundo azul del aire, lienzo secreto donde fulgura un diálogo entrañable con las sombras tutelares del poeta, los aromas vivos del pasado y el destino de toda una generación perdida. No hallará el lector en estos poemas, el efecto lacrimógeno de la nostalgia ni las vestiduras rasgadas de la lamentación, sino un desfile de fantasmas tras el cristal lluvioso de la distancia, el dilema del pájaro reinstalado en el bosque ajeno, que forzosamente ha aprendido los crueles misterios del extrañamiento.
