Synopsis

A world governed in tandem by the military superpower of Rakonsas and the homeland of the Church of Sanctus; a land in which angels with dark wings once coexisted with humans; a time in which a battle for the fate of the world will soon be fought.

Sylas Valitioso, son of an infamous general in the Rakonsas empire, embarks on a quest with his childhood friend Kyria to discover the truth behind his father’s horrendous actions and the role he must play in the war being waged in the heavens.

In this first of the three planned novels, Sylas swears to find the truth behind his father's many masks, but in doing so, he finds himself falling deeper and deeper into a web of lies, conspiracies, and ambition. He will either have to learn that the pursuit of his father may lead to his ultimate demise, or give up before finding the answers he seeks. Despite his confidence as he crosses the paths of legendary generals and infamous criminals, however, he is yet unaware of the tensions rising beneath the surface of the Rakonsas government and the ethereal chess players watching over the world from above.
