On March 10, 2018, like so many other Saturday mornings over the past 30 years, Jewell Northlake opened his bar, The New Point Bar & Grill, and chatted with his close friends T.A. Woodruff and Eddie Boone. Local DJ Mikey Steele was scheduled to begin his annual "Bracket of Rock" on WBCD 93.8 FM when a young man named Griffin Stanley walked in searching for a girl. This serendipitous meeting, combined with the music of "The Bracket" would begin a journey, chasing life back almost 50 years, and touching on the experiences of love, missed opportunity, triumph, and heartbreak that would show that even normal, small town lives can be extraordinary. And in the end, reminding these individuals that life's greatest memories happen without a plan and that looking back is vital to moving forward.
