Synopsis

Prometheus: A titan, a god, the muddiest human all-father. We may be epistemically limited, but we are rationally gifted, and that suffices to slowly but surely approach every “is” and every “ought”. Prometheus brings us this fire and thus kick-starts our purposeful strife. He is instrumental rationality incarnate, and thus, Prometheus quite fittingly brings us not what he values the most, but the instrument required to acquire it. Prometheus brings us fire, because above all, this spitting image of the best in us, loves truth. And thus Prometheus’s real name is Philalethes.
