Synopsis
In Evening Wolves, the first book of the "One Shepherd One Fold" series, Gerald, the mighty Solitary Hunter, finally met the mysterious Shepherd and submitted to his authority.
But what next?
In Tender Wolf Gerald learns that making a commitment to the Shepherd is only the first step in learning how to follow him.
Gerald is a creature of action and needs a job to do. The lead ram seems to know what that position will be but says Gerald will have to wait for the Shepherd to reveal it to him. Gerald does learn and grow but is constantly frustrated by suggestions like “You’re not ready,” "Wait and see" or "You'll know when the time comes."
Gerald makes a few friends among some who were born into the fold, but he can’t help noticing that they sometimes fail to follow the Shepherd's teaching. Have they forgotten what he is just learning?
Wolves, driven by their own motives, try to lure Gerald back to the pack and, when he refuses, threaten to reveal his past deeds to the sheep.
