Synopsis
Dr. Peters was born in small town America into a deeply religious family. He was weaned on Baptist theology from a young age and baptized at age 12. In this book, he builds on the scholarly work of the 1994 Book, Crossing the Tiber and explains why he converted to his father, an elder in the Baptist Church. This is a deeply personal account of why in his mid 50's, Dr. Peters converted from a fundamentalist denomination to the Roman Catholic Church. He builds a powerful case for interfaith tolerance, and mutual Christian fellowship alongside those arguments and documents the incredible spiritual experiences that brought him into the Church.
