Synopsis

Their pain is great. The losses are even greater. Fires burn bright in the night sky as base after base is destroyed. The Council has deserted them, the Guard failed to protect them, and the Shrouds continue to devastate. Probana is slipping, and the attack on Honesta has signaled that the end is near.

But rising from the ashes, Cassi finds Kaene fighting to survive. Their connection runs deeper than either of them knows, and this bloodstained feud has brought them together for a reason. Each will be tested in the coming days by their internal desires while the foreign Shrouds continue their march across Probana. A vendetta inexplicably centered on a simple keepsake, Dave’s watch.

Amidst the chaos, an unlikely source attempts to save Probana. Renegades led by a mysterious man named Oliver are still fighting against the Shrouds. They are unwilling to concede to the destructive race. Somehow, they have acquired a Shroud ship. It is damaged, but salvation could be within reach if restored. Time is slipping. Will there be enough?

The Struggle for Probana series resumes with Cassi's narrative advancing the story. Emotions continue to run high as the war with the Shrouds is carried into Book 2: The EXiSLED. Join Cassi as she uncovers more questions while traversing Marshall's prison, Oliver's sanctuary, and the enigmatic island renegades.
