Synopsis
Novela escrita bajo el contexto histórico de la guerra de abril de 1965 en la Republica Dominicana. Un misterioso y escurridizo coronel llega a un pequeño pueblo al sur de la Republica Dominicana, Las Charcas, Azua, donde inicia una relación con una joven de la comunidad. El coronel dice ser el hombre de confianza del coronel Caamaño, dando inicio a una serie de situaciones y confusiones que terminan luego del desembarco del coronel Caamaño por playa caracoles en 1973.
