In 1959, I became interested in the sights and sounds of college football and made my first trip to Greenville.
A decade later I discovered Ficklen Stadium. After more than fifty years l have traveled hundreds of thousands of miles and met most of those who have made Pirate football what it is today. This is their story and my story.
