About the Authors

Mehmet Öçal completed his PhD education in Pamukkale University Labor Economics and Industrial Relations in 2022. Since May 2022, he has been working as an associate professor in the social work department of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. Öçal, 2022 Turkish Higher Education Institution Outstanding Achievement Award, 2023 Prof. Dr. Cahit Talas was deemed worthy of the Doctoral Thesis of the Year Award. He continues his academic studies on increasing the welfare level of disadvantaged groups.

Özge Kutlu graduated from Social Work and Social Policy Master's Program in 2022. She is a doctoral student in the Social Work program at Hacettepe University. Kutlu, who worked as a Social Worker at Burdur Provincial Health Directorate between 2019-2023, has been working as a lecturer in Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Elderly Care program since February 2023. She works on the provision of rights-based social work practices for the elderly and their families.
