Synopsis

In an era marked by escalating global challenges, the importance of fostering well-being in the classroom has become increasingly critical. Emerging research highlights the value of relational teaching, an approach that emphasizes authentic, compassionate, and inclusive connections within learning environments. Moving beyond the simple delivery of academic content, relational teaching prioritizes meaningful relationships between educators and students, recognizing that trust, empathy, and mutual respect are foundational to both learning and well-being. By cultivating supportive and responsive classroom communities, this approach helps create environments where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Enhancing Classroom Well-Being Through Relational Teaching bridges the gap between research and practice by presenting a comprehensive collection of perspectives, case studies, and evidence-based strategies that highlight the transformative potential of relational teaching. By integrating theoretical insights, practical approaches, and real-world examples, this book illustrates how relational teaching can serve as a framework for addressing student well-being in a holistic manner. Covering topics such as enhancing student engagement, trauma-informed relational teaching, and professor-student relationships, this book is an excellent academic resource for graduate and doctoral students, educators, educational policy makers, professional development providers, and more.
