About the Authors

Muhammad Anshari is Associate Professor in Business Information Systems at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam School of Business and Economics (UBDSBE), and currently serves as Deputy Director for the Institute of Policy Studies. He has been named on the Stanford University List of Top 2% World Researchers since 2021 for the categories of ICT, Business & Management. Together with colleagues from UBDSBE and IPS, winning Outstanding Paper awards at the Emerald Literati Awards 2024. Following the completion of his PhD at FBEPS UBD, Dr. Anshari worked as a research fellow at National Taiwan University. Before that, he was a research fellow at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. He has also completed eight research grant projects and three research industry consultancies. His research focuses on Business Information Systems, Knowledge Management Systems, Digital Business, Digital Humanities, and Digital Health, contributing primarily to SDG No. 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.

Dr. Mohammad Nabil Almunawar is currently an associate professor at the School of Business and Economics, Universiti of Brunei Darussalam (UBDSBE), Brunei Darussalam. Hwe wasthe former dean of UBDSBE. He received his bachelor’s degree in 1983 from Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia, master’s degree (MSc) from the Department of Computer Science, University of Western Ontario, London, Canada in 1991, and Ph.D in Computer Science/Information Systems from the University of New South Wales in 1998. Dr. Almunawar has published more than 100 papers in refereed journals, books, book chapters, encyclopedias, and international conference proceedings. He has more than 30 years of teaching experience in the area of information systems. His overall research interests include applications of IT in management, e-business/commerce, digital marketplace/platform, digital business ecosystem, health informatics, information security, and cloud computing. Currently, he focuses his research on digital transformation, digital marketplace, digital platform, and digital business ecosystem.

Patricia Ordóñez de Pablos , from the Department of Business Administration in the Faculty of Economics and Business at The University of Oviedo, Spain, was named on “Stanford University’s Ranking of the World Scientists: World’s Top 2% Scientists” list for her research in social sciences field in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Her teaching and research interests focus on the areas of strategic management, digital economy, knowledge management, intellectual capital, and information technologies, with a special interest in Asia (Bhutan, China, and Myanmar). She is the Editor-in-Chief of IGI Global’s International Journal of Asian Business and Information Management (IJABIM), as well as editor for a number of IGI Global book publications and full book series.
