Synopsis
Who is the dead man that was found on the famous Hole 12 of the Wicked Creek Golf Course? From all accounts, it is John Bernard of the powerful Bernard Enterprises who was supposedly killed in a yachting accident three years prior. The yacht was destroyed with everyone on board by a rogue wave that was eye witnessed by a United States Coast Guard vessel.
Why did he come back and why was he murdered on his own golf course?
Quincy Mathews, retired Raleigh police detective and current novelist, and Ocean Inlet Police Chief Raymond Reynolds are saddled with the task of solving the baffling riddle as they soon realize that nothing is as it seems as more bodies are left by a silent but deadly killer.
Chief Reynolds also just happens to be married to Quincy’s ex-wife.
