Synopsis

This book contains 50 pyramid puzzles that test and improve your ability to solve number addition problems. The puzzles start off easy and get increasingly difficult, with the smallest puzzle having 28 cells and the largest having 45 cells. The bottom row of each puzzle contains the numbers 1-7 or 1-9, appearing exactly once. The goal of the puzzle is to add together two numbers next to each other in order to find the number directly above it. For example, if the sum of 3 and 4 is 7, the cell directly above 3 and 4 would be 7. In some puzzles, you may need to use subtraction to find the answer. For example, if you are given a 7, and directly below it to the right is a 3, the missing number directly to the left of the 3 must be 4 because 7-3=4. The puzzles also use inequalities and emojis to make them more engaging. The inequalities help define whether a number is bigger or smaller, while the emojis indicate that the cells are equal. These puzzles are suitable for children ages 8 and up who enjoy a challenge, as well as adults of all ages. The second half of the book requires more advanced skills, including logic, understanding of inequalities, and sudoku-like skills. These puzzles have proven to be very popular in and out of the classroom. Watch the video below for a preview of the book.
